Throne and Liberty Peaks Over 50K Players In First 24 Hours Of Early Access

Throne and Liberty has hit a player peak of 53,884 players in the 24 hours since early access opened up.

Early access went live for the MMORPG yesterday (September 26), and is available for players who spent $40 or more on pre-order packs. Otherwise, the free-to-play  MMORPG officially launches on October 1st. Early access launch has been a long time coming, and with a peak of over 50K on a Thursday, it's going to be interesting to see if that number climbs over the weekend ahead of that full launch next week.

Yesterday's Early Access launch wasn't without its fair share of issues, though. Many players on Steam were confronted with codes that wouldn't unlock initially, while console players have been dealing with errors such as an Xbox issue that stated, "You can't play multiplayer games because of how your account is set up," which is a weird error to get if you've got Xbox Game Pass (which is basically Xbox Live now).

Throne and Liberty has also added servers to the game to address the demand to hop in early, adding a new NA East - Magna server, as well as the EU Central - Ezekiel server.  The team has also been busy applying updates to the MMO, with downtime this morning addressing issues with Amitoi, Lucent, and more.

Our reviewer is hard at work on our thoughts of Throne and Liberty, but if you want to watch Bradford learn the MMO and fail miserably, check out the archive of last night's Late Night Throne and Liberty stream.
