Upcoming MMORPG Throne and Liberty held an open beta test earlier this month. Amazon Games offers a glimpse into the action with some stats from the beta.
The stats showcase several different achievements, such as 364k PvP kills, 84k players joining guilds, and a whopping 29 million NPCs killed during the open beta test. One of the most notable achievements is one player who happened to have the fastest kill time, 27 seconds, on the highest level of the Taedal Tower.
The comments on the post showing off these different analytics are a mixed bag. Some fans are simply asking for more context on weapon design and others are slightly annoyed with the hefty amount of monetization options. One of the key issues here is the pay-to-win vibe that is given off from the in-game shop.
With the use of Lucent, players are able to get a major upper hand by having real-life money to spare on high-end items from the marketplace in-game. According to fans, that bit of information is enough to stop them from playing Throne and Liberty since it will make it nearly impossible for some to earn the high-tier items as fast as another player can purchase them with real-life currency.
Throne and Liberty is set to release in September of this year, and though the open beta has already come and gone, players will finally be able to dive head first into the content themselves in just a few short months.
