Throne and Liberty's free-to-play launch has finally arrived, with Amazon publishing the MMO from NCSoft across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

Today's launch is ,of course, after five days of early access where interested players could pay for access to the MMO early, where we saw a peak player count just shy of 57K players (56,910) on Steam over the weekend. This, of course, didn't take into account the Xbox and PlayStation players who bought the early access packs, and today's free-to-play launch was always going to see numbers shoot up as players no longer had the cost-to-entry barrier to get into the game world. As of the writing of this article, over 280K players are playing right now on Steam with a concurrent peak of 326,377 players.

Since its launch servers went live this morning, Throne and Liberty has already had to increase its server capacity as well as opened up new worlds to meet demand. For those who have been playing on an early access server this whole time, new players can still join those servers as well, though you won't be able to transfer off to a live server for a while, according to Amazon.

It'll be interesting to see how the population fluctuates throughout the rest of the week and into the weekend, especially as more people start getting days off and have time to really explore the world of Solisium. I know I've been enjoying what I've played thus far, and our reviewer, Kazuma, will have the first part of our review in progress at some point this week.

Have you hopped in now that the free-to-play access is live? Let us know your initial thoughts in the comments below.
