Ahead of tomorrow’s first Castle Siege, Throne & Liberty has put out a warning to its defending teams about an unintended strategy that attackers may be able to exploit.
It seems already for the first major PvP event, there’s an environmental exploit that players are able to take advantage of in order to reach the inner courtyards of the castle. It’s not intentional, so the devs seemed to want to get ahead of it so defenders can prepare (and hopefully not worry about it next time).
In the social media post about the issue, it’s described as follows:
We are aware of a tactic attackers may use during the upcoming Castle Sieges on 11/17 that allows attackers to access the inner courtyards earlier than intended. An attacker using this approach travels across rooftops along the Western edge of the outer courtyard and eventually leaps over the wall into the inner courtyard.
This is not an intentional gameplay component so we wanted to create awareness about its existence so defenders can prepare appropriately. The attackers who may use this method are vulnerable to PvP throughout their infiltration pattern.
It’s a fair warning to the guild who’ll have the defender role for each server. While the chances of reigning in spite of the mass siege are unknown, it’s important for the Defender team to know possible issues given how much is at stake: the rule over the throne, which grants privileges to the next Tax Delivery event and for, of course, the next Defender role. However, it does double as an announcement of such to attackers
We recently also got exact siege times yesterday per server for when these Siege events will actually happen, so guilds can ready their players at the figurative start line properly.
