Throne & Liberty Devs Address PvP Woes, Randomized Dungeon Changes, and Mega Alliances in New 'Tico Talks'

Sometimes too many players is a problem

A new Throne & Liberty “Tico Talks” video has been uploaded, discussing PvP changes, the new Wargames, randomized Dungeon features, and more. The developer video featuring Tico, the Globalization Design Manager at Amazon Games, goes over a lot of the observations and resulting changes taking place throughout T&L.

PvP will get some notable adjustments based on what the team observed. For instance, crowd control abilities will take longer to charge, and Purification Stones will have other options.

The team wants to address the issue of guild “mega alliances” as well, though it recognizes overstepping would also badly affect smaller guilds. For now, they’re looking to turn off the classification of “hostile guilds;” the “hostile” status just alerts guilds and their allies to “hostile” targets. More changes are carefully being looked at, including Conflict Mode boss rewards.

For those who do want to keep a friendly candor, Wargames will come in December, giving more PvP opportunities. Players can make private and public lobbies to spar with enemy guilds or have internal skirmishes, though none of these give rewards at the moment.

Conquest Battle timing is also being looked at, as in a survey, players noted it started too early for them. It’ll likely be pushed back a few hours to allow more players to join.

Finally, the next biggest change is the incentivized random Dungeon features. While it’s working well already, to address some issues they’ve been seeing, they’ll be allowing parties of up to four to queue together as well as implementing abandonment penalties for leaving the queue or dungeon itself.

Other details are discussed, including anti-RMT measures, an overflow of players in the Arc Boss Peace Mode, and a mention of the upcoming Dimensional Trials.
