Amazon Games' new MMORPG Throne and Liberty has hit over three million registered players in its first week.
Per an Amazon Games article, not only did more than three million players register to play the game over the course of the last week, but around the world players have collectively played the game for over twenty-four million hours. In terms of Twitch, over eleven million hours have been watched in total.
As we previously reported, the MMORPG hit a player peak of 53,884 players in the 24-hour period after the game was launched in early access two weeks ago. As of writing this article (October 8, 2024), the game has an all-time peak of 336,300 players at once, with 285,864 players playing the game at one time in the last 24 hours, per SteamDB. It's important to remember that this number is only PC players, with console numbers and how many players are on each console secret.
The game also has 51,510 viewers on Twitch right now, with an all-time peak of 194,834 viewers. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how the statistics measure up in the next month or so, especially since we’re not too far from launch right now.
Throne and Liberty launched last week, with launch servers still catching up on content that was released over the course of the early access period. The title has clearly resonated with players, though we at MMORPG.com gave the title a 6/10, with our reviewer writing that the game has a “glimmer of something great” but that the title simply doesn’t live up to expectations.
