Returnal will be released on PC in 2023. Originally released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive last year, the third-person shooter roguelike will come to PC with a series of improvements and changes.
Originally developed by Housemarque, the PC version will be handled by Climax Studios. Returnal takes place on a planet called Atropos, where you join a character named Selene who finds herself stuck in a loop. The cycle she's stuck in on this mysterious planet involves taking on hordes of enemies (and bullet time projectiles) Against mysterious backdrops. The core of the game is set in what saline has to overcome and investigate in order to learn what exactly is going on in the situation she finds herself in.
While it is a third-person roguelike shooter, it is also a narrative game, and features some first-person content as well to help you understand some of what happened to the protagonist. You and Selene will both have a chance to learn more, and potentially, to unlock a way out.
When released on PC, there will be upgrades to improve the performance and support the gameplay experience, and there will also be the Tower of Sisyphus and an online co-op mode to play with friends.
