Members of the Warframe team stopped by the game’s subreddit for a new AMA this week following the recent release of the Techrot Encore update. Not only does the team answer questions from the community, they drop some hints to chew over.
Topics covered included potentially level scaling Liches, elaborating a bit on the Technocyte Coda and more on the update, the potential for more Sun-Moon alignment system integration (“ultimately, this is one of the most perpetually interesting flavour features that we will maintain on the docket!” Creative Director Rebecca Ford says. Hmm…), and lots more.
They even get questions on things like how far in advance they decide on the story and lore as well as the big beats in the expansions, so there's some meaty behind the scenes info in the Q&A. The full answer highlights the roles of the various teams that need to collaborate to bring it all to life, with some ideas sparking years in advance, and later contributions from the narrative team to the script writers and the quest designers all contributing. There are even questions about earlier concepts like how they even come to lay out a concept before all the rest of that work starts.
