The War Withins next update, 11.0.7, hits the  World of Warcraft PTR tomorrow, and it’s a big one. Not only does the update introduce a new zone, Siren Isle, but the 11.1 update prologue, and the long-datamined Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren mount. Plus, Plunderstorm gets a return window.

Siren Isle is an outdoor endgame experience designed to support all kinds of playstyles. The team took some inspiration from the American Southwest and things like Darwin's finches in the Galapagos for design elements and easter eggs to discover.

In lore, the island was used by the Kul Tirans to mine Azerite during the Fourth War…before they all disappeared. Time passed and recently, a massive energy pulse coming from the island drew attention from all over. Naturally, it’s time for an investigation.

When you arrive, you’ll meet a goblin, Skaggit, who is Gazlowe’s assistant, and informs you the Arathi and Earthen are also there investigating. There's a large crystal in the center of the island that is making a humming noise and those groups also want to study it.

With evidence of the Kul Tirans’ past, there's a mystery to solve, but of course there are dangers (and help from allies), including the big storms of the area that bring creatures onto the island and three distinct enemy groups. These are the Naga, Bloodwake Vrykul, and some pirates. The WoW team will rotate these groups every week. This is The War Within’s new epilogue questline, and one for the future of the Kirin Tor.

There's more to do, including excavating caves full of enemies, and collecting items and loot. Cyrce’s Circlet is a ring with three gem sockets that once belonged to legendary Siren, Cyrce. Collect gems and place them to gain different effects.

They promise new mounts, items, transmog appearances, and some things that were unused for years. One of the big reveals is the new mount, Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, which was datamined a decade ago and referred to as Stormcrow for years.

The update will also include the 11.1 story prologue, which promises an encounter with “a familiar face in the darkness”, new Arathi ear customizations for Humans and Kul Tiran, and the return of Turbulent Timeways.

Finally, Plunderstorm will return in early 2025. The event was so popular that the team said it was coming back, and the battle royale will be back pretty soon.
