The Wagadu Chronicles. is teasing a big announcement next week, but the team at Twin Drums has also been previewing more about the game over the past month leading up to whatever is coming.
Along with the announcement of an upcoming announcement, there are some new animal skins that will add to the variety of wildlife you’ll find in the upcoming Afrofantasy MMO. These skins look to show warthogs and a type of deer.
We have a massive announcement next week....??For now, know that the art team has also been working on animations and experimenting with “skins” for additional animals who should hopefully join our crocodiles, cows, chickens and co in-game. ?? pic.twitter.com/PM3PwKweAA

The team has also been releasing some new previews of systems and options like skin tones. Adding realistic options matters. The Wagadu Chronicles, skin tones will also adjust with the body types. Additionally, there will be other effects like body markings or tattoos and even markets of age, all increasing the potential for really diverse characters.
And in related features, there’s also a recent preview for the UI flow of the game’s character generator. This is a short look at what’s coming, but as an introduction, it lets us peek intothe development and what we might expect. When added to the skin tone and body markings considerations, the expanded options here make more sense considered together.
With the tease of something coming next week, we have to wonder for now what it will entail, but the development updates in recent weeks are coming together in an encouraging way. With development underway, there haven’t been a whole lot of in-depth looks at the game just yet, so with that in mind, maybe we’re about to get a bigger taste of The Wagadu Chronicles.
If the animal skins and promises of more varied wildlife are clues to what’s coming, then that too would be a welcome addition. With an African-inspired fantasy setting, based on and centered around 5E roleplay, these touches make the environment even richer.
