The Wagadu Chronicles is in a new phase of alpha. An extended Alpha 3 test is showing off tons of changes and additions and still recruiting testers to help the Twin Drums team to test out systems and events.
On April 1st, there were many jokes floating around in all corners, including in gaming announcements. Yet, on that day, there was a fashion show event in the game for testers to participate in. The emphasis was on the various character customization options, as well as options that had been added before testing periods as a whole, including dyeing clothes.
The Wagadu Chronicles began Alpha 3 in mid-March, but this testing period is set to continue for a while, for a few reasons. One, they’re in a new phase, noting in a press release that the game “has all the elements of a full loop”. What this means in a practical sense is there are a number of features and systems now in place that need testing, and for the team to get needed data and feedback for their continued work.
This is not April's fools: testers, assemble for the fashion show event in Wagadu today! We can't wait for you to show off your most fabulous looks! ? ???? It's not too late to join us ?? https://t.co/asFMZzJ8NS #ThewagaduChronicles #mmorpg #roleplay #aprilsfools pic.twitter.com/ZDVDEDCX35

Not only did the team add things like dyeing clothes, they added the elements used to build societies, and systems to help players get started. Twin Drums also upgraded the combat system, polished the overall mechanics, and even updated the Waka spirits. Not only that, but they’ve been working on other events, like that fashion show. In the cards are things like group hunts and even racing competitions.
In having a longer alpha test period this time, they’ve also removed the NDA on sharing experiences. If you want to take part in Alpha 3, they’re still taking applications, and posting your footage on social media is now allowed if you label the posts. This also extends to being able to stream the game, as that is also beginning to pick up.
