Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss have announced that the Underwater Ruins content expansion for Black Desert Online will go live on May 22nd. Players will be able to dive into the new content in water-themed locations "to face off against some of the fiercest enemies in the game". Players will embark on a boat to check out two adventure zones: the Protty Cave and the Sycraia Ruins. The Sycrid is a new summonable field boss as well.

he Protty Cave, suitable for skilled adventurers, will have players descend into dank caverns only lit by bioluminescent plants and creatures to face-off against a mysterious new race of amphibian creatures.

The Sycraia Ruins, on the other hand, has players explore long-deserted ruins that are still defended by ancient constructs that will fiercely defend the treasures that lie within. The Sycraia Ruins can be entered by using a special artifact that can be acquired throughout the Underwater Ruins.

This week, players can take part in killing monsters "that correspond with the type of their Great Marni's stone" as well as check out the Hands of Gold Returns event.

We'll keep you posted as more is revealed.

In other Black Desert news, Valencia will be arriving on Xbox starting today that comes with Absolute Skills for all classes. The Black Desert Xbox team released a new trailer in celebration.
