The Spring Festival is back in The Lord of the Rings Online with the latest update out today. Get ready to celebrate the arrival of the season with quests, dance, flowers, and more.

This event has been happening since 2008, so there’s a good chance you’ve experienced a few of these if you’re a LOTRO player. Still, these seasonal festivals do endure for a reason, and the charm of spring is fun for many. You’ll be able to grab the repeatable quest “A Taste of Spring” and start participating in a number of spring activities to mark them off and get your rewards.

There are all kinds of events at the Bree-land Festival Grounds, Duillond in Ered Luin, Thorin’s Hall in northwestern Ered Luin, and Brackenborings in The Shire. You'll be able to get a map to the Bree-land Festival Grounds when you log in and head over there to start your spring celebrations.

Spring events each year include dancing, gathering flowers, horse races, Stomp a Shrew, and other ways of marking the season. Of course, there’s also the Inn League vs the Ale Association if that’s more your speed. The more events you participate in, the more will get notched in your quest log for A Taste of Spring, until you’ve gotten to 10/10.

New for this year is the Spring Festival cap level quest, Seasonal: The Coins of Naruhel, has gotten an update to rewards and is now going to give you items to improve your Legendary items.

Aside form the festival, in this update are a barter vendor called Overseer - Hiddenhoard Raid Reward Vendor that’s now at Zidir-nesad, The Steepset in Máttugard who’ll be able to exchange a piece of Hiddenhoard armor for a different piece tuned for another specialization. Also, bartering for Dwarf-iron Fragment crafting components is available with the Kindred Grey Mountains Expedition.
