It seems that next week is *the* week for the games we love to start up the holiday events. ArenaNet has posted via Twitter that the Guild Wars 2 event, The Shadow of the Mad King, will be starting on October 17th.
In past events, players have had a chance to run through the Mad King's Labyrinth and the Mad King's Clock Tower as well as a chance to fight Mad King Thorn himself. Lastly, in a variation of Simon Says aptly named "Mad King Says", players are commanded to perform actions...or not as he tries to trick them.
With all events, there are rewards. Last year, there were new achievements, weapon skins, miniatures, tonics, guild hall decorations and Black Lion Trading Company items.
