The Guild Wars 2 site has been updated with the fully expanded description of the Engineer's elite specialization called the Scrapper. Scrappers are hammer-wielding fighters who want to be in the thick of things.
Hammer skills include:
- Shock Shield - magnetizing the hammer that blocks attacks and hits enemies in front
- Thunderclap - brings down lightning to stun and damage
In addition, and maybe most significantly, Scrappers have access to Gyros, tiny crafted machines with special abilities:
- Purge Gyro - cleanses conditions on player and party. With the tool belt skill, applies a chemical field
- Sneak Gyro - a clocking ability that hides players from enemies. With the tool belt skill, removes stealth from foes
