The Neverwinter site has been updated with a brand new developer post to give new information about the River District, the site of the main adventures players will face with the next content expansion. One of the spotlights of the area will be the freedom to progress throughout the quests and story in whatever order a player wishes.
Both the campaign and the River District zone were designed with player choice in mind. Defeating the members of the cabal of wizards requires investigating each wizard’s past ties to Neverwinter. Each investigation requires you to speak with characters your hero worked with in the past and to visit iconic locations throughout the city. You are free to choose the order in which you decide to investigate and defeat each of the wizards.
Players will be fighting to stop an imminent threat from a cabal of wizards who have returned to take over Neverwinter for themselves.
