The Quinfall’s next beta test will be held in June, according to developer Wavraek. The beta date comes after a series of video previews, gameplay videos, and most recently, a lore video that sets up the world, conflict, and what to expect.

This second beta test is NDA-free, so everyone will be able to share their experiences in the test, as a creator, or to just share their experiences with friends. There's also a “roadmap and path forward” update on the game’s website, detailing some of what we’ve gotten a peek at in the recent video series, along with some of the other things they're working on to create and expect to have in the world.

Right at the top of the roadmap is the universe, with the land and settlements you'll find at a completion percentage of 95%. Expect 2016 km2 of terrain, with four biomes, 18 major cities and 33 villages. There are nine port cities, and a number of other places to adventure, travel, trade, and discover. In this section they also detail that they will have over 50 treasure rooms, 36 portals, dungeons on land and under sea, forests, lakes, streams, and mountains dotting those biomes, as well as over 500 rifts.

Also nearly done at 95% on the roadmap are the customization options. “With over 100 bones and textures, detailed character customization is available with hair, eye, skin texture and color settings.” Skills and weapons, with 10 weapon types and more than 100 active and 300 passive skills are in the works. The process of strengthening and enhancing skills with gems is also 95% complete. Character progression, inventory management, pets, mounts, most resource-related actions and skills, along with pets and mounts are also at high completion.

The full roadmap has over 50 sections, and most have high completion, and this seemed to be reflected in recent gameplay videos. Despite some early skepticism, The Quinfall looks to be well on its way, and the next beta test should give a good idea of how all these systems fit together
