The Quinfall is getting another closed beta test, and the team has released two new gameplay videos showing off things like character creation, the tutorial, and crafting and building mechanics.
Applications for the second closed beta are open now through April 10th, with the actual test coming later. The team is expanding the test, with plans to invite 10,000 users, and dropping the NDA so everyone can share their experiences.
In two new gameplay videos, the Vawraek team lets the gameplay speak for itself. both videos are set to music and feature no narration, so you simply get a look at everything as it is. Previously, some had questioned the game’s supposed quality, with some criticism and skepticism over using assets and on some previous quick-cut trailers that didn’t reveal gameplay for more than a quick shot.
After a developer interview addressed some of the questions and criticisms last time, this time these two video releases do show some confidence in what they’re putting out. See what it's like to create a character, equip yourself, accept some quests, and start off in combat. The tutorial and crafting system video is the most straightforward early game footage that we've seen so far. The video itself lasts for longer than 12 minutes and it takes us through all the basics systems. Housing, building, and decorating are clearly part of making your experience your own.
The second video focuses on clan and ally UI menus and building for your clan. Gathering resources, setting up a build, and more.
Of course there are cuts, but we linger on the gameplay for long enough to get a good idea of how things are coming along. This is still in-progress footage, but it seems that the team has been making an effort to let us all in, and setting the next test without an NDA is part of that.
