The Quinfall’s latest update, now live, adds a new anti-cheat system as well as other notable fixes and changes.
This update includes the anti-cheat software Xigncode3, a Korean anti-cheat software also used by Black Desert, Phantasy Star Online 2, and Bless Online. It was announced a few days ago, but this update and post clarify the development a bit.
“When we first implemented our anti-cheat system, we believed we could quickly and effectively address known issues,” the developers explain. “We engaged with reputable companies to find the best solution, but we soon realized that developing a strong and permanent anti-cheat system would take longer than expected. As a result, after extensive discussions and planning, we have reached an agreement with XIGNCODE3. With this new anti-cheat system, cheat detection will be much faster and more efficient. Thanks to your reports, we are committed to making Quinfall a fair and cheat-free gaming environment.”
However, it’s one of many anti-cheat systems criticized for installing and functioning on a rootkit level, so we’ll see how this plays out.
For those still sticking The Quinfall out, this patch also brings a few additions and changes. The Ranking System has been activated, and will show accurate current Rankings after penalty adjustments. For quality-of-life, there are now automatic chat filters for banned words, NPC buff icons adjustments, and auto-run/ship sailing for destination travel speed. For compensation for past issues, players have also been given 1,500 V Coins, special costume weapons, a special title, and EXP bonuses.
They also announced in this same post that they’ll be trying to avoid wipes at the end of Early Access. Instead, they’re looking for alternatives such as extra servers that’ll be focused towards newer players, allowing them to progress faster to catch up with long-time players.
The Quinfall continues its early access journey along plenty of others in this stage, with its own 2025 roadmap it’s hoping to achieve including technical fixes, role-playing systems, and more.
