Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI get a brand new collaboration event, The Path Infernal, nd not only can you get your hands on some clothing rewards, the highlight just might be the best boy around: Torgal.
The collaboration event begins tomorrow, April 2nd, at 8AM GMT/ 1AM PDT/ 4 AM EDT and will wrap up on May 8th. Grab the special event quest from the Neophyte Adventurer you’ll find at Ul'dah: Steps of Nald and you’re off.
For those who haven’t played through Final Fantasy XVI, the protagonist is Clive Rosfield, the firstborn son of the ruling family in Rosaria. This event, there will be scenes that should be familiar if you have played the game though. Rewards for the special event quest include Metian Attire, a replica of Clive’s armor from FF16. Not only can you dress like the famous First Shield of Rosaria, the outfit you get is dyeable, so you can also make it your own.
Now, we get onto what most will probably be looking for. A Torgal pup is the newest minion to arrive in the game, setting you up with the cute canine to accompany you on your adventures. Let him run around, wag his tail and all around just be a good boy. Clive’s pet in the game, this version can be yours.
And if you’re familiar with Torgal, you won’t be surprised by the other big reward here: a Torgal Mount. Yes, he grows up in Final Fantasy XVI and now he can be your cute little pet and your trusty snow wolf mount in Final Fantasy XVI.
The event announcement also tucks in a hint that, like in Final Fantasy XVI, you will be able to give Torgal lots of petting.
