The Outer Worlds is getting a special repackaged edition, the Spacer’s Choice Edition, on March 7th. This will include the base game and both of the game’s DLC releases.
The new edition puts a spotlight back on Obsidian’s acclaimed RPG. Not only does this Spacer's Choice Edition come with both DLCs, it also raises the level cap to 99. If you haven’t had the chance to play The Outer Worlds, this is your chance. There are additional improvements to be enjoyed, with improved visuals, better performance, new animations, and more.
The two DLC releases, Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos, are both included in these updates. What if you already own them? If you already bought The Outer Worlds on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One, then you have the chance to upgrade to the Spacer’s Choice Edition for current gen consoles or on PC for $9.99. PC players will be able to grab it from whichever shop they bought the game from originally. This will get you the increased level cap, and the upgraded visuals that will match your current system.
There’s a new trailer to promote the Spacer’s Choice Edition, showing off some of those polished up visuals with direct comparisons too.
Of course, if you’ve never played this RPG, then it’s a good chance to get immersed in it. When we reviewed the game back in 2019, we found that, despite some well-tread ideas and inspirations, the game was a solid RPG with colorful characters and experiences that were ultimately satisfying.
Given that it is several years later, and there’s a sequel on the way. Other games have made the leap from Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with new console upgrades and other improvements, and it makes sense here too.
