The Outer Worlds 2 made a splash at The Game Awards, officially debuting a new trailer for the 2025 Obsidian sequel.
The sequel will be out next year in 2025, and the Sci-Fi RPG sequel will get a new adventure in a brand new colony with a new crew. The team is also touting the new graphics. The trailer humorously emphasizes Obsidian's experience making well received, even award-winning sequels (and followups), like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Knights II, and Fallout: New Vegas.
“Like all good sequels, we've included everything that should have been in the first game” the voiceover continues. The humor is intact and so are the opportunities for exploration, more weapons, more action, and a whole lot more.
“Get ready for an action-packed adventure in a new colony with an even newer crew and the newest graphics! Coming in 2025.”
We do get some peeks at gameplay in the trailer, but now that we've gotten our new official look, we'll have to wait a little bit more before the devs are ready to reveal more about where we're going next.
