LOTRO's upcoming update brings with it a new race for players to experience: the Stout-Axe Dwarves. Those eager to check out the new Dwarvish race are able to do so thanks to the game's Bullroarer test server.
Bullroarer Update 24.3 is now live for testing, thanks to a post on the Lord of the Rings Online forums. In the update, adventurers can go hands on with the new Stout-Axe Dwarf race, bringing their story to life in Middle-earth
"A new race, Stout-axe Dwarf, is available for preview. Meet the lost civilization of Stout-axe Dwarves, and live their story of reemergence."
According to LOTRO Players, the Stout-Axe Dwarves are a race who "refused to return their Ring," and as a result of their captivity in the Far East they are "more grim, taller, hardened."
You can check out the Stout-Axes until Friday, September 20th at 5PM EST on the Bullroarer, but stay tuned to the LOTRO Twitter account as the forum post mentions that time is subject to change. If you want to see a preview of the new starting area for the Stout-Axes, you can check a video-on-demand from The Dwarrow Scholar (embeded below). We'll have our full thoughts tomorrow.
