The Last of Us 2 and Ghosts of Tsushima Receive Release Dates After Massive TLOU 2 Plot Leaks

June and July, won't have to wait long

In a new blog, Sony announced that The Last of Us Part II and Ghosts of Tsushima have new release dates.

If you recall, Sony had previously announced just earlier this month that TLOU2 was delayed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, however, we have word of new release dates,

“As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on June 19. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17.”

So there we have it. News of these release dates follow some pretty massive spoilers which were leaked online as reported by Kotaku. These leaks seem to spoil pretty major events and twists in the final game.

Naughty Dog has since replied on Twitter, simply stating,

“We know the last few days have been incredibly difficult for you. We feel the same. It’s disappointing to see the release and sharing of pre-release footage from development. Do your best to avoid spoilers and we ask that you don’t spoil it for others.

The Last of Us Part II will be in your hands soon. No matter what you see and hear, the final experience will be worth it.”
