The time has almost arrived for the final technical test to hit The First Descendant, which is set to begin in just a few days.
On May 25th, the last technical test for the upcoming free-to-play shooter game, The First Descendant, is set to begin. The developers at Nexon released a few details to give fans a better idea of what to expect. The announcement states that it will begin at different times within different regions, and end at different times as well, but regardless of timezone or region, it will end on May 27th.
The only supported platform for this PlayTest will be Steam, and it is solely intended for PCs for technical verification purposes according to the devs. There are 12 supported in-game languages currently, and two Voice languages, including English and Korean.
For those who would like to dive into the technical test, it's an open test that will be available to anyone via Steam during the testing period, so if you want a chance to check things out before release, now would be the time to do it. The test version will be available for pre-download one day before the test goes live, which will be May 24th at midnight.
There are a few system requirements that will need to be met in order to participate, such as having at least Windows 10 active, a minimum of an Intel i5 or AMD FX-8350, and DirectX version 12. Space-wise, you will need at least 50 GB of space to download the test and at least 8 GB of RAM.
There will be several newly implemented features to enjoy during the test, like weapon readjustments, 2 Fields, Endgame support, the Encrypted Vault, Void Fragments along with the Fusion Reactor, and more.
The First Descendant is scheduled to release sometime this summer, though no concrete release date has been mentioned as of yet.
