Nexon’s The First Descendant has unveiled its second season, Void Chaser, arriving on December 5th. The third-person looter shooter’s action-packed trailer shows new Descendants Keelan and Ultimate Sharen, new boss, and more, including a cute “Fellow” dog companion.
In addition to the trailer, the team has also released a nearly hour-long developer commentary video, doing a deep dive into season 2. If you really want to know a lot about the development and what's coming in the second season, the dev commentary video is worth a watch.
The Void Vessel dungeon is on the way, and so is the boss, Dread Armor. Prepare to take on these new challenges when the season opens up. You’ll have new Descendants to get through, Keelan and Ultimate Sharen. Keelan specializes in toxic abilities and he is assigned to the search unit H.O.U.N.D. You’ll have the chance to acquire Keelan and that new Fellow.
Ultimate Sharen Is shown off in the trailer and this season she gets a new story quest. The developers hint that there will be some reveals about how she got the way she is and will resolve some of the mysteries of what we see in the trailer as the person she's fighting and why she's doing all of this.
There will be another new female Descendent added later in the season, Ines Raya, coming in week 7 as revealed in the dev commentary video. They also show some new skins that are on the way, including the Ultimate Sharen skin. This skin is futuristic and inspired by sci-fi, and even is reminiscent of something like Ghost in the Shell.
The season will also bring a continuation of the main story, new Ultimate weapon, new skins, and some additional content to spend some time learning to master.
