Necrom is out for The Elder Scrolls Online across all platforms. The new chapter has launched on consoles today along with Update 38 for the base game.

Now PlayStation and Xbox ESO players can immerse themselves in the Shadow over Morrowind arc, uncover mysteries, dark magic, and even make some deals with Hermaeus Mora? That’s just the beginning, and with two new zones, and a new storyline involving all that dark magic, political intrigue, power, and even threats to reality, console players have their shot to get exploring.

The storyline follows from the Scribes of Fate DLC from March. Necrom is a standalone piece of content, though, so you will not have to have played that to enjoy it. If you have though, then you have already had a taste of reality and time-bending dark powers and their potential.

There's much to explore in Necrom, and, of course, the new Arcanist class to try out. There are also two new companions, one of whom is an Arcanist, just in case you’re not ready to make one of your own yet, but still want to see what they can do.

The two new zones are the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha.  Apocrypha is Hermaeus Mora’s realm, and there's a whole lot of knowledge there. And with knowledge, comes power, so there are also those who wish to take it. The all-new area of Chroma Incognito, the Elder Scrolls Online team says is one of the most mysterious you’ll encounter. It is a dangerous place where there are representations of fates that have never come to pass.

Console players can also enjoy Update 38 for the base game. This update introduces new useful messaging for PvP keeps, reset times getting streamlined, and fun features like the ability to set random mounts or random favorite mount for when summoning your mount in the world.
