The Elder Scrolls Online is preparing for the March release of the Scions of Ithelia DLC, which will continue major elements from last year’s Necrom. The team has a new preview covering quests and activities you should complete ahead of time to prepare for the new content drop.

The emphasis on content that relates to Maelstrom and Malacath is at the center of this guide. Scions of Ithelia will be out on PC/Mac on March 11th and on console on March 26th, so there’s a little over a month to get ready. Not only will there be new story to play through, there will be new instances and challenges, including two dungeons. These four-player PvE dungeons are Oathsworn Pit and Bedlam Veil.

In Oathsworn Pit, you find yourself in a training ground for Malacath’s followers and you have to fight your way through the pit to restore order. In Bedlam Veil, a cult has invaded and you need to help a Fa-Nuit-Hen, the Demiprince of Maelstrom, to defend his hold against these invaders and prevent them from completing their goals.

Since the Cult of Malacath is going to play a prominent role there, head over to complete the Wrothgar storyline from the Orsinium DLC. Learn all about Chief Bazrag, the Orc leader and Malacath follower, here before you team up with him in Bedlam Pit. Also in that DLC is the Maelstrom Arena, where you can get a taste of this part of Oblivion, held by Fa-Nuit-Hen.

The Obsidian Scar should be another destination for you. Part of the base game and not requiring any paid add-ons, you can find this in Rivenspire. This is a public dungeon where you can find a clan of Orcs who worship Malacath and even help one to avenge her husband.

After that, maybe swing by some Battlegrounds to Mor Khazgur or over to Cyrodiil to find Volendrung, the legendary hammer.

There’s more to get you ready to go over in the guide over at The Elder Scrolls Online.
