The Elder Scrolls Online is kicking off a year of change, and the first announcement of the year is coming this week in a preview of base game Update 45 and a new dungeon DLC.

The team is set to reveal the first part of 2025 releases during the stream on Thursday, January 9th, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern / 11:00 a.m. Pacific,  on the Bethesda Twitch channel. Jess Folsom and Gina Bruno will be joined by Mike Finnigan, the lead encounter designer, and Lead Combat & PvP designer, Brian Wheeler.

While this will be the first announcement of 2025, Particularly when it comes to content previews, the Elder Scrolls Online will have some significant changes on the way. Studio Director Matt Firor’s letter last month laid out the team's plans to shake up how they update, move to a seasonal schedule, and to use some of the existing locations and characters and create more content to use what's already there in addition to going beyond.

This stream will cover both the base game update and new dungeon DLC, and we can expect reveals on the way to be generally on a smaller scale as we start this year off and get through the first quarter. The first huge announcements for the 2025 Global Reveal will happen in April. This will begin to take us through what we can expect from the big changes ahead and the retirement of annual Chapter releases.

Until then, we will get some smaller reveals and things that they’ve been wrapping up, along with the remainder of the yearlong 10th anniversary celebration which  began last April. We can expect some announcements and even some remaining surprises until we get to that big Global Reveal and close out the big anniversary celebrations.

There will be Twitch Drops enabled for this week’s Update 45 stream, with more info to come.
