The release of Gold Road is fast approaching, and The Elder Scrolls Online has a new lore feature, an introduction to the character Tribune Alea Idolus.
The latest Meet the Character lore feature is, as often it, in the form of a letter. The letter serves as a recommendation for Tribune Alea Idolus, who by the time Gold Road takes place, is officially an agent of Count Calantius of Skingrad.
Alea is described as courageous and resourceful, and a native of West Weald. While she grew up in a family of means, she was known for learning how to ride, hunt, swim, and fence before ultimately enlisting as a Legionary. The rest of the letter details some of her service and achievements, as well as promotions that she has earned.
When The Elder Scrolls Online team releases these lore entries, these letters are sometimes very skewed, and other times, feel almost like little self-contained mysteries to be solved. While we’ll get our true introduction to Alea Idolus in Gold Road, this one does set her importance up in the upcoming Chapter. Not only did she come highly recommended, we’ll get to meet this native of West Weald in a time when there is much going on in the area that does beg investigation.
After the bulk of the entry, we do get one more clue as to her importance and the task at hand.
“The trusty Tribune is sure to be busy with all that is occurring within West Weald. However, she’ll carve out time for helpful adventurers in the upcoming Gold Road Chapter. Will you assist her in securing Skingrad and its environs?”
We’ll all get a chance to see just what’s required when Gold Road is out in June.
