The Elder Scrolls Online hosted its first big 10th anniversary event in Amsterdam today, revealing a new trailer for the Gold Road Chapter and releasing its prologue on all platforms. Now, we can all get a taste of what’s next in Tamriel.
In the new trailer that debuted at the event, the focus is on the danger in the West Weald and beyond, as there are some mysterious happenings causing trouble all along the Gold Road. “It’s like we’re a glass chalice,” describes the narration, “balanced on a table’s edge, and it’s about to fall”. We get a cut to Ithelia as the map of the West Weald settles.
In the prologue, you get to pursue Torvesard, a Dremora looking for his master, and related to the happenings in Scions of Ithelia. It was, after all, his sword that freed her. Torvesard, in the announcement of the prologue release, is described as searching for his master (Ithelia), during this prologue. The new quest,”Prisoner of Fate” is now available to all Elder Scrolls Online players and you can grab it from the Crown Store
Join up with Lerami the Wise, who serves Hermaeus Mora, to track Torvesard down and track down new information while you attempt to reach Torvesard and potentially stop him. Torvesard’s search for the Forgotten Prince is on, and he’s getting closer. With the potential consequences threatening Tamriel and Oblivion, there’s work ahead. Expect some lore, secrets, and more behind Ithelia’s long imprisonment, the threats on the horizon, and Torvesard’s motivations.
If you take on the challenge and complete the prologue quest, make room in your collection for the Mirrormoor Mudcrab pet.
The full Gold Road Chapter is coming June 3rd on PC/Mac and hits consoles on June 18th.
