The Elder Scrolls Online is bringing back the Whitestrake’s Mayhem event next week. The PVP-focused event will let you earn Alliance Point and XP and walk away with new and returning rewards.
The event begins next Thursday, May 11th at 10:00 AM EDT. If you’re new to the event, start by grabbing the event quest, “Details on the Whitestrake’s Mayhem" from the Crown Store. If you've already done this quest in the past, you can skip right to the event bonuses.
Those bonuses come by way of the Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity and Pelinal’s Boon Box, and by using that scroll, you kick off two hours of special bonuses. They are 100% buffs to Alliance Point gains and XP for PvP player kills in the Alliance War, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds. There’s also a 100% bonus to Tel Var Stones during the full event.
The scroll may offer a timed bonus, but there are other bonuses and event loot to earn. Event-specific loot will drop, and this year the Gloamsedge Armor Style is the new armor drop. Challenge Imperial City sweepers and bosses for a shot at the new pieces. There’s also the matter of the Pelinal’s Boon Box.
You'll get your first one, but as you compete throughout Tamriel, you'll have the opportunity to earn additional boxes in addition to the regular rewards and PVP daily quest rewards. Participating in things like Scouting, Warfront, Conquest missions, town quests in various places, daily quests in Imperial City, and more could all drop boxes.
These boxes can grant a number of items, including Alchemy ingredients, style items, a Daedric Siege weapon, a special event themed book furnishing, a transmute geode, and even a fragment of the Alliance Breton Terrier pet, with the chance to drop two fragments. In addition to the PVP bonuses and other abundance in the event, harvesting nodes will also loot extra resources.
For the event, you can trade in event tickets you earn with the Impresario For rewards. You can also offer Alliance Points to Aba-daro. She’ll take a break from masks for the event period and not take gold.
“Cyrodiil merchant Adhazabi, “The Golden” Aba-daro will update her shop’s stock to contain jewelry from Cyrodiil’s item sets, in CP160 Legendary quality. Aba-daro’s Bazaar will offer valuable necklaces during the first weekend of the event and rare rings during the second.”
