In today's Daily Quest, we'll be discussing, well, daily quests! How do you feel about daily quests in MMOs?
Personally, I'm not a huge fan, unless those daily tasks have some significant level of variety to them or can be completed while doing activities I was planning on doing anyways. Maybe I love PvP and I was planning on doing some Warzones (SWTOR) today anyways, so, sure I'll pick up the daily for that. Or I'm playing Marvel Heroes and the daily shared quest rotates out every 24 hours. These are fine. What's not cool are the daily quest zones that many MMOs employ to keep people playing at level cap. These tasks are often so numerous and generate significant enough resources that they become a daily obligation. The quickest way to get me to stop playing anything is to make me feel like I need to login every day in order to keep up.
So, what's your take?
