The first big public taste of anything coming with Guild Wars 2's Heart of Thorns expansion is today. ArenaNet is opening up the new PVP mode Stronghold for one 24 hour period today to presumably gather feedback and metrics from its many adoring fans. But the question is... will you be playing?
Stronghold is a completely new mode of PVP for Guild Wars 2, with the main goal being to take down the enemy's fortress while using resources to send out archer and gate-crashing NPCs down the two opposing lanes. It's more akin to traditional MOBA gameplay, but in spurts no longer than 15 minute matches.
And it's a LOT of fun. But will you be diving in to give it a go, or are you waiting for the actual Closed Beta of HoT before getting all excited? That's your quest for today.
