As the end of any year rolls around, most of us reflect on all that has happened to us in the last 365 days and oftentimes cast our minds back even further. Today's daily quest is a similar opportunity for us all to reflect back on our MMO days of yore to those times that meant the most to us when in game. Be it funny or frightening, epic or epic fail, moving or inexplicable, these collected stories are the stuff of legends.

The quest today is simple: Tell us the stories behind your favorite MMO memories.

I'll get the ball rolling with my top stories since it's impossible which one would eclipse the others, all of them taking place with my partner in crime at my side.

Scene 1 - Picture it: World of Warcraft on an epic hunt for rare drop mounts. It had been a long dry spell for either of us to have scored anything. Running Icecrown Citadel's raid for the umpteenth time. I barely bothered looking at the drop from Arthas when suddenly I hear a cry in my ear as Rarity blasted the achievement sound. Boom! Invincible dropped! Pretty epic, right?

Moving to the next stop on the mount hunt, we headed to Onyxia's Lair for the umpteenth umpteenth time. Lazily going through the one-shot motions, I once again pretty much ignored the loot drops because, c'mon...this is WoW, home of RNG hell and I'd already scored once for the day. Not to be daunted, however, Rarity again sounded epic trumpets in my ear as Onyxia's drake dropped.

Two rare mounts in a day...one of my top three favorite MMO moments.

Scene 2 - Picture it: SWTOR questing on Tatooine, truly a hellish "get through it" planet if there ever were such a thing. The NPC asked us to mark a location for an aerial bombardment from orbit. My partner in crime zooms ahead as, once again, I got a bit lost (a whole 'nother story!) and arrived on scene late....and just in time to be utterly obliterated by the air strike.

Scene 3 - Picture it: WoW Pandaria ship scenario and me on my epic and nearly unkillable Guardian Druid. My companions both die to the end boss. I am standing in front of him lazily swinging a paw hoping that it won't take hours to kill him -- I AM a tank, after all -- and type into chat, "No worries. He doesn't hurt me at a...." *gets one-shotted and wipes the scenario* Epic FAIL!

So what about you? Tell us your best, most favorite stories!
