The Daily Quest - What Features Do You Want in the New Site?

As we're seeing with the announcement of our new forum system coming soon, big changes are afoot at We're working our way towards a bold and new take on the 10+ year old site. Today's quest is a simple one: what sort of things would you like to see in the new site?

Here's what I can tell you about the new site, whenever it does come:

  • it'll have a much more functional homepage, with a more direct feed of news and features.
  • it'll have both a black and a white background option
  • the Game List will be completely overhauled and made user-friendly with a function that offers results after just 3 letters entered and more sorting options.
  • User generated content like blogs, reviews, videos, and more will make their way to the front page (with staff approval).
  • Search! It'll be usable!
  • Less text, more images, but not TOO MANY images. In general, expect a much more attractive look that helps you find more content on the site.
  • Representation of whether a game is an MMO, an RPG, or a MOBA, etc. without having to click through.
  • Plus the above-mentioned new forums, which are coming long before the whole new site.

There are lots more little things on the back end, but these seem the most pertinent to post for users now. Is there something we're missing? Something you'd like to see?

It's a bold new era coming for us, and while we're still a ways out from showing you thew new look... it's coming. But not without your input! Feed it to us here.

I promise, the new site will be better than this...
