This is the week, folks. Starting today, we're about to see a ton of new Star Wars info come in from California. From the new movie, to the TV shows, to the new games (and possibly SWTOR?), we're about to be inundated with tales from a Galaxy Far, Far Away. What are you most excited for?
Me personally? I'm obviously most psyched for all the Episode VII material, and I hope we get some really good preview footage between now and the weekend. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really hyped up about Star Wars: Battlefront.
Short of a true persistent world MMO shooter set in the Star Wars universe, Battlefront is really high on my "Do-Want" list. It feels like ages since we had Battelfront one to squee over. Indeed, it's been over ten years since the first game was released. And nothing at all against Pandemic, but DICE making this new incarnation is a dream come true.
I can't wait to see footage, read details about the online modes, hopefully get some good info on the single-player campaign (it'd better have one!), and all that good stuff. Since they're aiming at releasing it around the same time as the movie, I hope we get some iconic fights from there as well.
No, it's not an MMO. It's not even an RPG. But every blue moon, I get excited about something else in gaming. So sue me.
