The Beach is open again in RuneScape, as the annual summer event returns with new and returning content and rewards.
Lumbridge Crater becomes the seasonal escape from today through July 22nd. You can go and relax or you can go and get in some extra Skilling time and earn yourself some rewards. New this year is Clawdie, a Boss Pet drop from Clawdia. So be prepared to face Clawdia again if you want a chance at the pet.
Speaking of pets, you have a chance to get Skilling pet drops from training at the Beach, so this opens up a variety of options. Overall, the chance of getting unique rewards from Skilling activities on the beach have also gone up.
Maybe you need a new seasonal change of clothes? The Casual Beachwear outfit is here, along with a new Skeleton Warrior Conjure Override. Both are up for Runecoins. Also added to the cosmetics shop are the Iaia Beachwear token, Flower hairpin token, and more.
In addition to new rewards and new cosmetics, there are some quality of life adjustments, including some longer AFK timers and those pet drops. Basic cocktails will now give a 10% boost for 15 minutes and you can right click to see what skills they'll cover. Some beach activities also get a bar that will display when they will time out, to give you a heads up. Among the other changes include the option to participate in bodybuilding with a pet summoned, and bodybuilding is one of those activities that got a longer AFK timer, but you won't be using it to wrangle your pet.
There’s more to discover in this year’s edition of the Beach. If it’s summer, it’s an opportunity to take advantage of sun and skilling activities. And maybe take home a new pet for your victory over Clawdia.
