Tencent has sent word that its Arctic survival-crossed-with-battle-royale game, Ring of Elysium, has launched on Steam in North America. The game will be heading to Europe soon, complete with localized versions.
Players hit a snowy map with the goal of surviving the environment as much as other players. Players will be faced with hypothermia, snowstorms and avalanches, the latter which can be used offensively too: Trigger an avalanche on unsuspecting enemies below and suddenly increase your standing!
The game has been touted for its unique features including the innovative equipment system, all-new ways of travel such as snowboarding and climbing, and the rescue helicopter objective that allows four players to win any given match. These features will breed all-new in game tactical and strategic possibilities for players and longtime fans of the genre.
