Tencent has announced a series of future development plans for its increasingly successful Ring of Elysium battle royale. Players can expect to see three major phases of additions and fixes to the game over the coming months.

Stage 1 includes "optimization, anti-cheat measures alongside Russian and Portuguese language support"

Stage 2 will bring "the game's first feature-rich major update". This means:

  • improved character animation
  • more customization options such as dances, lobby backgrounds, personal icons, new cosmetics
  • the addition of a 10-week seasonal even system including new Adventure Badges won "by progressing through character season tiers"

Stage 3 will feature European servers and "the return of a revamped tropical island map" that was beta tested in Thailand.
