TemTem Welcomes Its Final Patch That Makes The Game Friendlier In Retirement Years

Nearly a year after Crema Games announced the Pokemon-like would be sunsetting, TemTem is seeing its final major patch that allows players to have an easier time once it goes into what players often call “maintenance mode.”

The patch itself was already promised almost a year ago to make it approachable in its retirement days, with balance changes, an economy rework, letting players pick Tamer Passes to pursue, and using non-Premium currency to follow Premium tracks. It seems a lot of that is followed up on in this patch itself.

For instance, base Luma and Umbra rates are improved, and Saipark has both eliminated its entry fee and lets you catch one Luma per week. There have been some improvements to the main storyline’s rewards system, and Tem eggs hatch faster now. Also, the level at which a Tem evolves is listed. Plus, PvP entry level has been lowered, TemSafari bans are rerollable given enough Pansuns are present, and prices have gone down for just about everything.

This is just a surface look, and it’s worth peeking at the full blog or the proper patch notes for changes. The team also implies with this being the last “major” patch that there could be fixes if need be.

The team has also referred back to its old discussions on the closure of TemTem regarding the possibility of a “TemTem 2.0,” and at least for now, the conclusion is that the team is too small and lacking the resources to do anything so ambitious.

For now, it’s focused up on its new spin-off game, TemTem Swarm, a busy roguelike action game that can be played solo or with other players. The team also states it hopes “you’ll stick with us as we discover new genres, learn and become better devs and continue enlarging the Temtem universe with more games, animated series, more merch and whatever the future brings, be it project Downbelow or a future —yet unplanned— Temtem 2.”
