For those still waiting for Tarisland, a new MMORPG for PC and mobile promised last year, the team has brought out yet another exciting bit of footage via a gameplay teaser. It starts with a small glimpse at some of the story, followed by a brief bout of gameplay.
This new trailer shows some of the primary enemy creatures, likely derived from an indescribable entity known as the Gothos, attacking the planet. A Phantom Necro character, one of the main playable classes in the game, sees the memories of Doomsday Apostle, who they then encounter in a fight.
Gameplay is then shown against that Apostle, with what’s likely in-game footage of the real-time combat for the Phantom Necro. It’s not the first bit of gameplay ever shown, but it seems to be the first time they show in-game footage in a recent official trailer.
While this is the first hint of what players will likely see in the game, Tarisland developers have been rolling out a steady stream of content. There have also been outlining some of the world’s lore in their Tarisland World View blog posts. The first chapter outlines the origins and universal gods, called the Gothoi, and the second goes into the creation of the world and how those powers are ever warring. In addition, some dungeons, combat previews and more are shown in the blogs and videos.
Tarisland has no set release date, though it’s currently delayed from a 2023 estimate. It’s a real-time action MMORPG, set to release on both PC and mobile.
