Upcoming fantasy MMORPG Tarisland is making its way towards the next closed beta test in November. Now we know whose music will be part of the experience, as the MMORPG will feature award-winning composer, Russell Brower.

Brower’s work with Tarisland will be more than just an appearance, as the announcement reveals that his music will be a significant part of the Tarisland experience. His themes will be heard throughout the game, taking shape and inspiration from the various regions of Taris.

“Brower’s epic, original themes will reflect the different regions of Tarisland, and accompany players on their heroic adventures and colourful travels through the lands of Taris,” the team announced

Tarisland is a fantasy MMORPG that features its own lore, several different civilizations and cultures, as well as a variety of biomes in the world. It seems that the musical journey that Brower and the development team will take us all on should be a varied one. Given some of his past work, this should be a fitting collaboration.

Brower’s credits include work on World of Warcraft–his theme, “Invincible”, from Wrath of the Lich King, is one of his most well-regarded compositions– along with other Blizzard franchises. This includes music for Diablo, StarCraft, and Hearthstone. He was a senior audio director at Blizzard until 2017, and has also worked on other games and in television. His work in sound design,  he has also won 3 Emmy Awards.

Bringing him on board Tarisland is a new partnership that we’ll begin to see more of when the game enters its second closed beta test. This test will let PC and Android players test the cross platform MMORPG. The test will include players from Europe, Asia, and the Americas in five supported languages (English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish ).

Tarisland is currently set for release in Q1 2024 on PC, Android, and iOS.
