Tarisland Season 1, Blight Dragon Elegy, is coming soon, and the team has details on how the season will work and limited-time options. The devs are also previewing the game’s first raid, Grey Fog Citadel.
The first season will start later this month, and there are some things to know about what’s carrying over from Season 0, what to do before the new season arrives, and how it will work. If there's anything left in Season 0 that you haven't earned yet, now's the time. This means completing achievements, completing Season 0 dungeons, and more, all detailed in the new devblog.
When Season 0 ends, most of your gems, empowerment, gear special aptitude, and growth resources will carry over into the new season. A few things, like some resources will convert to new season resources and silver coins. The first real season is intended to be a fresh start, and will offer Season Talents, new reputation, and an increased level cap.
One thing the team is looking to do is to make it feel like if you can't log in that you'll just fall behind forever, so some of the resets are designed to provide that fresh start to make things a little more even for a new season
“With the reset of Inscribed Stone Talent Tree and Emblems, all players find themselves on an even playing field, where the length of your game time no longer creates an unbridgeable divide”.
The new season is coming soon though, so if you’re a raider looking ahead, Grey Fog Citadel should be of interest. The name alone should give you an idea of what to expect, and the level of dread you might have before entering. This is Tarisland’s first large-scale raid and is located deep in the Scardino Icefield. The new preview takes us through the tragic lore, the dangers posed by The Devil in Mirror, how it emerged, and some of the tragic, dangerous web of challenges you’ll face as a result.
