The Tarisland team has another update on development, in particular with regards to player feedback and upcoming changes. In the latest update, we learn about rewards changes for launch, user experience improvements, and confirms the first two classes to get additional versions with gender-lock removal.
In an update shared to Discord, the upcoming development plan on the road to launch includes updated (and more generous) rewards for Challenge Mode and dungeons. They’re also planning to add speedrun rankings to Challenge Mode, with additional rewards for those who make it on the list. In addition to more rewards and opportunities to earn them, they're working on more dungeons and PVP content as well.
After the playtest last fall, the team got tons of feedback about a lot of elements, and one of the big ones was the fact that they started off with gender-locked classes. The team then promised that Tarisland would end this practice, but that it would take time and resources to get the additional models and classes implemented. Now we know the first two to come, the female paladin and the male mage. The team will continue working until each class has both options available.
Other stuff to know is the team is fine-tuning some of the player experience and working on existing issues, in addition to making sure that the user experience is more polished, especially when it comes to mobile devices. One thing they’re still working on is skill macros for mobile players to ensure that mobile players aren’t left behind when it comes to effective participation in raids and PvP. It is an ambitious cross-platform project, so it makes sense that this is a priority.
