The Tarisland team has a new lore blog and a new preview of the female Paladin, after previously agreeing to remove gender-locked classes.
The new female Paladin design doesn’t seem to be final just yet, because in the post shared on X (Twitter), they say that this is the design that they’re currently working on. The female Paladin depicted has hair with a fringe partially covering her eye and is described as, “ tenacious, firm, with a hint of rebellious character and fearlessness”.

With this design, Also shares an update on gender unlocking the classes. The Tarisland team cites short development time in why there were gender-locked classes in closed beta, and removing these limitations is taking time. They even ask for patience as they work their way through the “numerous actions, skills, talents, etc… with the total number of character movements numbering in the thousands” to get the dual option for each class.
“This will indeed be a complex and time-consuming process. We needs [sic] time to ensure that the artwork and movements for characters meet our high standards,” and they ask for patience as they “gradually” work on getting them all available. We should expect more of these updates as they have them.
In a different kind of update, the team is also taking us all into the world of Tarisland. A recently-shared lore blog goes into the background of the planet Tarisland, which began with a “Big Bang” and life began to emerge. Later, the birth of civilization happened, and eventually, there was conflict. You know that was coming.
The three Gothoi–Nihilox, Erebos, and Fatuina–had different ideas for the growing planet. Fatuina wanted to help in its development, while the other two wanted to destroy all life there. All around Tarisland, there are fragments of the Inscribed Stone, which Fatuina sent to help. Put those together and maybe you’ll uncover the secret to destroying the threats to the planet.
