Tarisland will get a new update tomorrow that will add a new matchmaking feature, give each player a special gift, and start a return to the game invite campaign.

After downtime ends and the update is live, everyone will be getting a special gift in their mail, the Back-in-Time Token x 300,  which you can exchange for items in the Time Shop. The new patch additions will increase main quest XP and the team wants to encourage continued play with an improved battle guide system to make it easier to catch up on quests and secure earlier rewards.  These additions could help the game feel a little less grindy.

Cipher Mode is the updated matchmaking feature. You'll be able to enter the same Cipher in Battleground and Arena matchmaking. This makes it possible to create private PVP and even guild competition groups,  whether just for fun competition or even for organizing community events or even guild tournaments. You just need to enter the same password to organize matches between particular teams. There are no special rewards associated with using this new mode, it's really just to give you some options for now.

If you’re looking for some people to compete against, maybe the new invite campaign to get players to return to Tarisland will help. For a game that hasn’t officially been out for that long, is it time to worry if they’re already trying to get people to return to the game? They define "returning" here as not having logged in for at least a week, so maybe not just yet.

The Invite Comrades Back to Win Great Rewards campaign lets you invite other players to return in exchange for rewards if and when they do. Returning players who complete special quests can also claim a number of rewards, including a weapon, clothing, silver coins, and more.
