Takish Badlands: The Boundless Gulf, Renewal of Ro's Latest Raid, Opens in EverQuest II

EverQuest II  has opened a brand new raid from the Renewal of Ro expansion that will continue the content arc and offer some new rewards too.

The latest raid opening for the expansion is called Takish Badlands: The Boundless Gulf, and in order to enter, you’ll have to have already completed some important content. The prerequisites are having beaten all the bosses within Raj'Dur Plateaus: The Hunt and Sandstone Delta: The Standing Storm raids. Those are the previously-unlocked raids for the expansion, and this should give you some idea of what level of challenge you’ll face.

The Boundless Gulf raid features six new bosses, with five of them being Tier 3 raid encounters and one being a Tier 4. There are also new enemies to defeat on your way to those bosses, and other creatures you will discover in addition to all the overgrowths in the terrain. Make your way through the gulf itself first, and before you even get a chance to enter the raid completely, you’ll face another new enemy, one which the raid opening announcement declares “commands unbound power”.

Boundless isn’t just a word, as it’s a title for the final boss too. But before you get there, you’ll start by facing down the first boss, which bears the fittingly EverQuest II name of Huhmuhngus Fuhngus Amuhngus. It seems that there’s much talk of threatening fungi all around games, TV shows and entertainment recently, and this new raid is no exception.

This latest raid unlock was listed as part of EverQuest II's updated roadmap. We can also expect another raid to unlock in March. That one, Buried Takish’Hiz: Emergence From Stone. We can probably expect to unlock in about a month.

This will come before the next major update, 122, expected in April, with new raids for the base game, a contested dungeon, new trade skill content, and new quests.

For more, head to EverQuest II.
