Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore is now in Early Access on PC. The survival sandbox is available via Steam, and developer Blankhans promises community input in the development process.

The announcement of Early Access was accompanied by a video from  Creative Director Hauke Gerdes, who emphasized that the team wants feedback to help shape the final game. He walks us through a demo of the game, showing off its mechanics, the dangers of the environment, like freezing weather, some of the crafting mechanics, and we even get a glimpse of combat, including when others show up and join to help you.

In Coreborn, you are in a land called Tormentosia,a world that has been previously restored by six kingdoms. Now, the land is  flourishing and has potential, but this is a survival sandbox, so the goal to rebuild Tormentosia is going to take some work to realize. You'll have to engage in survival game mechanics like gathering materials and supplies, crafting armor, weapons, and tools, and even taking up arms to defend yourself and the settlements that you build.

It is a persistent PVE world, where players will be able to interact with each other, and positive reactions will have a demonstrable effect.  the capital features a Social Hub where players on all servers can meet each other, trade, and socialize, even uniting for one reason or another.

Partying up with others against the dangers in the world. After you've created your own settlements and a society, you'll be able to continue restoring the lands around you. It will help the world come back.

Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore is based on the Ultracore pen & paper TTRPG. There’s a special Early Access launch discount of $18.99, and a roadmap that the Blankhans team will be working on and soliciting feedback for to help players help shape the game along the way.
