Sengoku Dynasty, the open-world survival crafting simulation RPG set in the Sengoku period of Japan, is now available in Early Access via Steam.
The genre-blending game is set in a world inspired by feudal Japan and built in Unreal Engine 5. Like other survival games, you'll have to explore the different biomes, and begin to settle in, build your life and your community, including the ability to play with up to three others in co-op mode. As with other survival games, there are dangers, and you'll have to be sure to collect resources, and crapped everything from essential tools you'll need, to weapons to help you, and additional ways to survive.
Working with others presents an opportunity to build a village and to reinforce and strengthen everything to contribute both to a community, and economy, and even helping a larger community and small society that you've built grow over time. You can even assign jobs to different villagers, delegating things like building certain projects and adding to your communities structures, sending some out to go foraging, and others to craft items.
Some of the buildings you can choose from include houses, of course, but you can also build things like workshops, watch towers, and even breweries. Your community can grow over time and create a legacy.
While working together is going to help a community to grow and expand, you can also play Sengoku Dynasty solo if you want.
The game enters Early Access today, and there is a roadmap for what the team is planning to add over the next several months. expect the first steps now that early access has opened, to be gathering data and feedback from the player community to issue some hotfixes and make some quality of life updates. After this, we can expect farming to be added, a new NPC village, and new quest. later, expect some features related to personal growth like adding perks, status effects, and spirituality. Developer Toplitz plans to add starting classes, replayability, and the addition of female character options.
